How
does it work?
When you arrive at the studio, we'll give you a clipboard to keep
track of your piece and colors. We have hundreds of pieces for you
to chose from. Once you've picked your piece, you can take it from
the shelf to a table of you choice. You then select your colors
and fill your palette. After you've completed the painting, you
can leave everything at your table and go to the front desk to check
out. We're happy to clean up for you.
What
should I bring?
We provide everything you need including a fun, creative, and relaxing
atmosphere. We have design centers including stencils, stamps, and
design ideas. All of the paint washes out of clothing so there's
no need for smocks. All of our stores also have coloring books and
crayons to entertain younger kids.
How
long does it take to paint?
The average person spends about an hour and a half painting. With
young children it depends on their attention span. However, there
is no time limit; you are welcome to take as long as you need. You
can even take it home and come back another day to finish your piece.
How
long till I can pick my pottery up?
Our studios run on a 7 day schedule. For example: if you paint Monday,
your pieces will be ready for pickup Monday morning. Please note:
due to our amount of business during the holiday seasons our schedule
can change. This usually occurs around Dec. 1 and a few weeks before
Mother's day. Be sure to allow plenty of time if you plan on making
a gift.
What
does it cost?
The price of a pottery piece ranges from $6.00 to $60.00. For example,
mugs are $16.00 to $20.00, plates range from $16.00 to $25.00. Mosaic
pieces run from $25.00 to $55.00. All Fired Up prices are all inclusive.
All of our pottery is labeled with the price. There are no extra
fees. The paint, glaze and studio time are free!
Is
my child old enough?
All ages are welcome in our studios. Putting children's hand prints
on pottery is always popular for the younger ages. We also have
small animal figurines and cute little boxes, kids love to paint.
Are
the dishes food safe?
All of our paint and glazes are lead free and nontoxic. After the
pieces have been fired they are totally safe to use and eat from.
Are
the dishes microwave and dishwasher safe?
The glaze on ceramic tends to crack when it is heated and cooled
too quickly. This is called crazing. To avoid this process we recommend
you do not put your pottery in a microwave or dishwasher.
Can
I bring food and drinks?
Yes, you can bring food and drinks, including beer and wine. Please
note: for birthday parties we do not allow pizza in the studio.
I've
never done this before, will somebody help me?
Absolutely! We love to help people with the painting process and
design ideas. Please, feel free to ask for any assistance you may
need.
