June Workshop Schedule!
Mosaic Planter Class Friday, June 6
Session Time: 6:30-10:30 p.m. Cost: $85 tuition, $15 supply fee paid to instructor
Class capacity: 15 NO ARTISTIC OR PREVIOUS MOSAIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
 Enhance your garden, patio, or home with a one-of-a-kind mosaic planter! Mosaic artist, Julie McKee, will guide you through making a mosaic planter measuring 8 ½ inches tall and 7” in diameter. This course covers proper use of materials for weatherproofing, glass and tile cutting, setting, grouting, sealing and finishing for a mosaic planter. Handouts with notes provided. A grout demonstration will be given and a take-home grout kit will be provided to each student. (24 hours is needed between construction and grouting for adhesive dry time).
Students may bring any extra special materials that they wish to include into their mosaic such as a broken favorite dish or vase.
Mosaic Birdhouse Class Friday, June 13
Session Time: 6:30-10:30 p.m. Cost: $85 tuition, $15 supply fee paid to instructor
Class capacity: 15 NO ARTISTIC OR PREVIOUS MOSAIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
 Join us in making charming (or funky) little houses for the birds! We will embellish a nine-inch tall birdhouse. This course covers proper use of materials, glass and tile cutting, setting, grouting, sealing and finishing for a mosaic birdhouse. Handouts with notes provided. A grout demonstration will be given and a take-home grout kit will be provided to each student. (24 hours is needed between construction and grouting for adhesive dry time).

Mosaic Terracotta Saucer Friday, June 20
Birdbath Class

The latest garden magazines have been sporting terracotta saucer bird splash baths. Learn how to make your very own weather and waterproof 15 inch mosaic bird bath! We will learn about proper use of materials for this application, glass and tile cutting, setting, grouting, sealing and finishing. Handouts and notes provided. A grout demonstration will be given and a take-home grout kit will be provided to each student. (24 hours is needed between construction of the bird bath and grouting for adhesive dry time).

Mosaic Framed Mirror Class Friday, June 27
Session Time: 6:30-10:30 p.m. Cost: $85 tuition, $15 supply fee paid to instructor
Class capacity: 15 NO ARTISTIC OR PREVIOUS MOSAIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Join us in making your very own custom mosaic mirror! After completion of this class you will have the knowledge to make mosaic interior wall hangings. Mosaic artist, Julie McKee, will guide you through color selection for your mosaic, precision placement, glass and tile cutting, and materials application. Course will also cover grouting, sealing and finishing. Handouts and notes provided. A grout demonstration will be given and a take-home grout kit will be provided to each student. (24 hours is needed between construction of the bird bath and grouting for adhesive dry time).

Grout Clinic Monday, June 30
Session Time: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Cost: $40 tuition, supplies included
Class capacity: 12 NO ARTISTIC OR PREVIOUS MOSAIC EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
Bring your mosaic pieces in for this hands-on grout class. After completion of this course, you will have the knowledge and experience to have professional looking grout with every project! Students will need to bring in their own ungrouted artwork to this class. |
